Room 1015 launches Kokoa Bang in September 2026, created by perfumer Jérôme Di Marino. The Eau de Parfum comes in 10, 50 and 100 ml, with the 100 ml bottle priced at €160 on the brand's site. Its dark amber bottle signals gourmand, but the note list begins much brighter than the name suggests.
Rosé champagne, pear and lemon open the fragrance. The champagne accord should bring a fresh, lightly sparkling lift, while pear supplies juicy sweetness and lemon cuts through with acidity. That keeps cocoa from carrying the whole opening or turning immediately heavy and dessert-like.
Cocoa meets magnolia and Mugane in the heart. Cocoa brings a dry, dark tone, while magnolia and Mugane keep the middle bright and floral. The combination sounds closer to cocoa nibs beside white petals than a dense bar of chocolate.
Myrrh, vanilla, tonka bean and Siam benzoin warm the base. Vanilla and tonka add soft sweetness, while myrrh and benzoin build a darker balsamic frame around it. The result looks set to be a gourmand with two speeds: sparkling and fruity at first, then softer, fuller and more resinous as it settles.
