Le Labo is giving Shiu 25 a worldwide release in September 2026 as the newest addition to its City Exclusive collection. Created for Beijing, it remains available there throughout the year, while the rest of the world can buy it from September 1 through September 30 before it returns to its home city.

The composition is intentionally compact and built around shiu, which Le Labo describes as the ho tree's quieter expression. Ethereal iris and olibanum float above warm woods. Iris should bring a soft, powdery surface, while the resinous warmth of incense pulls the shape inward instead of making it loud or theatrical.

Wood acts as the anchor beneath those lighter materials. Together, the notes point toward a dry, meditative fragrance where iris feels airy, olibanum adds a softly glowing depth and shiu joins everything with a calm woody tone. It is an unusually focused idea for a City Exclusive, closer to a quiet room than a postcard.

The inspiration comes from Beijing's historic spaces of traditional craftsmanship, with worn wooden floors, hidden gardens and a sense of retreat. Shiu 25 is offered as an Eau de Parfum in 15 ml, 50 ml, 100 ml and 500 ml. Its plain laboratory bottle removes visual noise and lets place, material and stillness carry the launch.
