Karl Lagerfeld has launched Bois de Oud in August 2026 as the seventh masculine fragrance in Les Parfums Matières. The Eau de Toilette was created by Émilie Coppermann and Pierre Guéros and comes in 50 ml and 100 ml. It arrives as the counterpart to Fleur de Vanille in the collection's new duo.

Black pepper and vetiver open with dry spice and a green, earthy edge. Pepper gives the fragrance immediate energy, while vetiver keeps the start straight and woody. That movement makes the oud theme feel less dense from the first spray.

Cashmere wood, Madagascar patchouli and oud build a warm balsamic heart. Date and leather meet in the base: the fruit adds a dark, rounded sweetness, while leather pulls the composition toward something drier and more structured. Together they soften the oud without making it feel overly polished.

The bottle fades from deep red-brown into nearly clear glass and sits beside a black carton wrapped with a red band. It is a simple color code for the fragrance's shift from dark woods to a softer base. Next to Fleur de Vanille, it shows how the same straight bottle can carry two distinctly different temperatures.
