Dior launched Sauvage Extrait in July 2026. Francis Kurkdjian created the line's first extrait de parfum for men, a new 50 ml edition that pulls the familiar Sauvage signature toward denser woods and a deeper blue bottle.

Bergamot and lavender essence from Provence open the composition with aromatic freshness. Vietnamese oud then moves into the heart with leather, honey and smoky frankincense facets, giving the bright start a darker and more instinctive contrast.

Indonesian patchouli supplies the shadow in the woody accord, while Madagascan vetiver and Virginia cedarwood bring lighter, creamier facets. Dior matures and macerates the formula for 42 days before it reaches its final balance.

Sauvage Extrait is about more than concentration. Kurkdjian builds the fragrance around a play between aromatic coolness and dense oud, then between dark patchouli and paler woods. That makes the new edition more shadowy and wood-driven without abandoning the fresh backbone of Sauvage.
