Issey Miyake is introducing L'Eau d'Issey Eau Essentielle in August 2026. Perfumer Marie Salamagne created the Eau de Parfum, which arrives in Japan on August 5 in 50 and 100 ml bottles.

Nashi pear and bergamot open the fragrance with crisp sweetness and an airy aquatic lift. The pear gives the familiar water idea a juicier edge without turning it into a dark or syrupy fruit scent.

Jasmine and orange blossom absolute bring a clean white-floral glow through the heart. Musk smooths the transition into cedarwood, where the composition takes on a dry, lightly ambered outline.

Eau Essentielle feels like a brighter reset for L'Eau d'Issey: pear, petals and pale wood seen through clear water. The contrast between juicy freshness and dry cedar should keep it luminous rather than weightless.
